COURSES: Wilderness Survival

Wilderness 1 is the pre-requisite for all of our classes and introduction to our Wilderness Method that begins your journey.  It will open your eyes to truly appreciate the gifts Mother Earth has to offer whether you plan to enjoy a hike in the woods, go on camping trip, learn some basic survival skills, or start on your way to becoming a true scout. This class will awaken you to how capable you truly are, and show how fulfilling it is to shed the need for today's amenities that we, as a society, have grown so dependent on. 

This course will cover the basic subjects of survival, which includes Shelter, Water, Fire, Food, Tracking, Awareness, and Movement. 

This class continues where Wilderness 1 left off, with plenty of hands on practice, and getting you ready for more in depth skills in the wilderness series. Topics include more traps, advanced shelter skills, fishing spears, cordage making, lashing and more. You’ll have the opportunity to utilize and practice the learned skills in a challenging and stimulating setting.

Building upon Wilderness 1 and 2, Wilderness 3 brings together entirely new skillsets which include stone tool-making, grass mats, pitch glue, flint knapping, baskets and more. This class also takes a deeper look into the importance of reverence and thanksgiving.

We have taught you skill sets, it is now time to go test some skills.

How to make and set traps. This course focuses on the intricacies of trap making and “trapping”. The subjects covered include the introduction to advanced trap making and techniques, choosing the right areas to set your traps, and creative material use.

Come practice skills you have learned. We are here to help guide you through whatever you would like to practice or brush up on.

Immerse yourself in the forest and reconnect to nature. Feel the freedom and peace available when the distractions, stresses and hurried pace of modern life is removed. In this class, you will learn, gain skills and apply principles from Fire 1, and Wilderness 1 and 2. Camp out with us under the the stars, by the fire, while sharpening your knife skills. This weekend course will re-awaken your senses to the world around you, and accelerate your learning of primitive, survival, and natural living skills.

You and yours, will spend the day with us. You will go through the seven arrows of survival..Shelter, Water, Fire, Food, Tracking Awareness & Movement....and 'smores.

This a great fun day filled with good skills and plenty of laughs..

This is a full week intensive program introducing the 7 primary arrows with great detail:

-Shelter -Water -Fire -Food -Tracking -Awareness -Movement-

This program verse any other of the programs we offer is the immersive experience one has being here for the week. The skills we teach between these primary 7 arrows will include cordage making, lashing, plant id and uses, along with tool making etc... The greatest advantage of our week long class is the amount of dirt time one may put in plus the ability to do our night time exercises.

This is also a great oppertunity for those new at camping since we will be doing it all week with several tips shared and questions answered.

A continuation of Wilderness Weekend with a lot more sit skills such as hafted axes, baskets, flint knapping and much more including the night time skills of course.

Pre Requisite: Wilderness Weekend level 1

This takes the same principles of the wilderness weekend and adds winter tips throughout.

Wilderness Living 2 is a more advanced continuation of our week long class Wilderness Living 1. Double your knowledge of the 7 sacred arrows and really test your skills here. There will be plenty of dirt time.
