“What is tracking?”

Nothing in nature can move without disturbing something else. Tracking is more than just footprints on the earth. It can lead down many wonderful journeys, including to valuable resources, such as water, shelter and food sources. Tracking tells the story of nature. It tells the story of who was here, when they were here… but the rabbit hole goes deep, so prepare yourself. 

Pre requisites: Wilderness 1

Tracking 2 introduces more of the technical sides to tracking. This includes understanding animal and human behaviors and gait patterns, analysis of gain patterns, and introduces you to “reading the track”. We begin using our tracking journals at this level to prepare you for field tracking, so that you may begin your own journey through this fascinating art.

This class is specific to the art of hunting and movement on the landscape.

Pre Requisites: Wilderness 1 & Tracking 1

Open to Police, EMS, S&R Teams, CERT, and Emergency First Responders. This program is specific to the characteristics of human behavior and movement. This skill can be used to track lost, missing or fugitive persons.

For centeries our ancestors were able to survive because of their incredible ability to find animals through their tracks and subtle signs they leave behind. In this class we will take you through their journey by sharing with you these skills they have pased on to us, since they actually belong to you. Learn the language of animal tracking and trailing.

Prerequisites: Wilderness 1 and Tracking 1.

Native navigation is having the ability to move through the landscape without the use of map or compass. Learn to observe the natural environment, and recognizing the paths within it. 

Pre Requisite: Wilderness 1 

This will be a weekend of full on Tracking Skills. Experience the wonders of first science and really grasp the fundamentals of what it is to be a tracker and track. 

Prerequisite is Wilderness 1.
